The Artist Behind the Vision

Martina McAteer is an internationally awarded Irish artist and poet with Versopolis. She was made a Lifetime Honoree on Florida with ‘Celebrating the Genius of Women’ and listed on Google Arts and Culture.

Her Universal archetype symbol of Peace image ‘Star of the Sea’ was selected to be launched to the Moon with the largest collection of Global Arts&Culture ‘The Lunar Codex’.

She has exhibited worldwide including Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art and her work is part of public and private collections. In Ireland she is represented by ‘The Open Window gallery’ Dublin and ‘The Kenny gallery’ Galway.

She calls her work ‘a secret language of the heart’ and it is rooted in soul and spirit.It has a unique Celtic Christian influence rooted in her ancestral heritage yet it is also free from closed definition of a specific genre.

She is an accomplished oil painter and fuses Classical painting methods into works that are a unique blend of figurative and symbolist expression.

Her literature has also been published internationally and she is part of the index of notable EU writers Versopolis and is currently developing an international project.Her multidisciplinary approach to her work spans art,literature,spirituality,the Cosmos and the Sacred.

In a time of rapid evolution her expression remains grounded in wisdom, nuanced in expression, bridging the necessary elements to guide towards the bigger picture and her unique journey and way is testimony to the power of possibilities… @martinamcateerartist

I am both complex and simple in my expression yet I always paint from a place relevant to my personal living experience.

My work has grown from a raggy rugged path into a very special path that has taken me to wonderful people and places. I attribute that to faith, perseverance and the ability to hold onto hope in the Bigger Picture.

From road traffic survivor to Art on the Moon, my journey as an artist is testimony to a simple faith and the power of every human’s creative spirit.

I am a humble Messenger using my gifts for a Higher purpose for my own Creator.
